List of Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown
- 2 eggs, beaten well
- 1 bar German sweet chocolate melted with 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1 cup sour milk
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
- salt
Instructions
- Cream together shortening and sugars. Add beaten eggs.
- Melt chocolate with hot water. Add chocolate mixture to shortening and beat well.
- Add sour milk and mix well.
- Sift together dry ingredients. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well.
- Bake at 350 F for 25 minutes.
