    Recipe Introduction


    Maintain the rich flavor of this classic soup by stir-frying the conions in dry sherry and adding a dash of Worcestershire sauce.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
    • 4 Tbsp dry sherry or non-alcoholic wine
    • 4 cups beef broth, fat-free
    • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 4 slices French bread
    • 2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese


    Instructions


    1. In a large saucepan, combine the onions and sherry and saute for about 6 minutes, or until onions are tender.
    2. Add broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 10 mintues.
    3. Meanwhile, toast bread in a 350 F oven until golden brown.
    4. Place one piece of toast into each bowl, then pour in the soup. Sprinkle 1/2 tbsp of grated cheese on top of each serving of soup
