    6 firm medium size cucumbers
    1/4 cup pickling salt
    3 large carrots
    3 sweet green peppers
    24 silver skin onions
    2 cups white vinegar
    3 cup white sugar
    1 1/2 tbsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tbsp. celery seed
    2 tsp.pickling salt

    Wash and dry cucumber,cut into narrow sticks,cover with 1/4 cup pickling salt and let stand overnight.In the morning srape carrots and cut into narrow sticks and cook in boiling salted water for 2 minutes;drain.Remove seeds and membrane from peppers and cut into sticks.Peel onions.Combine vinegar,sugar,mustard seed,celery seed,tumeric and salt together.Rinse and drain cucumbers.Add other ingredients and vinegar mixture and heat to boiling point.Pour into jars and seal.
