4 cup fresh or frozen berries
1/2 to 1 cup sugar
2 to 2 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg if desired

Combine fruit with other ingredients by stirring gently.Turn into pastry lined 9 inch pie plate.Cover with top crust.Seal and crimp edge.Bake at 425 deg. oven for 15 minutes.Reduce heat to 375 deg. and continue to bake until crust is golden brown 30 to 35 minutes longer.
Tip:
For rhubard you might add 1 1/2 cup of sugar depending on taste.
