Caramel Apples

12 medium red apples (like the late McIntosh)
12 wooden skewers
1 lb. light colored caramels
1/4 Cup evaporated milk or cream
Recipe
Wash, dry and skewer the apples on the sticks. Melt the caramels and cream
together in the microwave oven or over hot water. Plunge the apples into
the syrup and twist to coat evenly. Place them on wax paper covered cookie
sheets in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.
