List of Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 cup saltine cracker crumbs
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 small chopped onion (optional)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- flour
- 1 large can (family size) of cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 can water
- 1 package of onion, mushroom, or brown gravy mix (can use either or a combination)
Instructions
- Mix beef, crackers, milk and onion together. Mix well and shape into loaf. Put in loaf pan and refrigerate overnight or at least 8 hours.
- Take loaf out of refrigerator and slice. Dredge slices in flour.
- Fry slices in oil until brown on both sides. Place in greased baking dish.
- Mix soup, water and gravy mix and pour into greased casserole dish.
- Add meat, then pour remaining gravy overtop.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
