    Chili Beans

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lb. ground beef
    • 1 medium onion, chopped
    • 1 celery rib, chopped or sliced (optional)
    • 2 teaspoons chili powder (or more)
    • 3/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
    • 1 teaspoon sugar
    • dash of pepper
    • 1 (16 oz) can stewed tomatoes (2 cups)
    • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
    • 1 lb can kidney beans (undrained) (2 cups)


    Instructions


    1. In skillet, brown ground beef, onion and celery. Drain excess rease. Add remaining ingredients, except beans

    2. Simmer covered, for 30 to 40 minutes. Add beans and heat thorough.

    3. Sauce can be refrigerated or frozen add beans after thawed or before reheating.
