Old Fashioned Peanut Brittle

1 T. Butter
7 1/4 oz. can (1 1/4 C.) Salted Peanuts
2 1/3 C. SugarRecipe
Melt butter in small saucepan over very low heat. Add peanuts - allow to warm. Place sugar in lrg. thick skillet (like a cast iron one) over medium heat. Stir continuously until sugar carmalizes into a "golden" brown syrup.
Stir peanuts into syrup quickly. Pour onto lrg. buttered surface at once, w/ big spoon, stretch and pull candy into a thin sheet. Cool. Break into pieces.
Makes 1 1/2 lbs. Peanut Brittle
