1 C. Shortening (crisco)
1 Egg
1 t. Vanilla
2 C. Quick Oats
1 t. Baking soda
1/2 t. Salt
1 C. Brown sugar
1 C. Sugar
3/4 C. Coconut
1 1/2 C. Flour (may need more)
1/2 t. Baking Powder
1 - 6 oz. pkg. Chocolate chips

Mix all together. Form into balls and bake for 8-10 minutes at 350'. cool on racks.
