    Herbed Chicken and Wild Rice Casserole

    List of Ingredients




    6 slices bacon, cut into ½ inch slices

    1 lb. boneless chicken breasts, cut into ¾ inch pieces

    1 onion, chopped (½ cup)

    1 carrot, sliced (½ cup)

    1 rib celery sliced (½ cup)

    2 cans chicken broth

    1 can cream of chicken soup

    ¼ tsp. dried marjoram leaves

    salt and pepper

    1½ cups uncooked wild rice, rinsed and drained

    Cook bacon in skillet until crisp. stir in chicken. Cook 3-5 minutes, until brown. Stir in onion, carrot, celery, cook 2 minutes, drain. Beat i can broth and soup in slow cooker, using whisk until smooth. Stir in other can of broth, the marjoram , salt and pepper. Stir in chicken mixture and rice. Cover and cook on high 30 minutes. Reduce to low and cook 6-7 hours until tender and liquid is absorbed. 6 servings.
