Srawberry Pretzel Salad

2 C. pretzels, crushed-not too fine.
3/4 C. melted butter/marg.
2 T. sugar
8 oz. cream cheese, softned
12 oz. cool whip, thawed
1 C. sugar
1 lrg. pkg. strawberry jello
2 C. boiling water
2 pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed
Recipe
Mix first 3 ingred. together and pat into a 9x13" pan. Bake 8 min. at 375'. Cool slightly.
Mix next 3 ingred. together and spread onto pretzel crust.
Mix jello and boiling water, stir to dissolve well. Add the strawberries and let stand untill it begins to thicken, then spread evenly over the cream cheese mixture.
Refridgerate.
To make Weight Watcher version;
30 ff pretzels
2 T. lt. brown sugar
2 T. reduced fat margerine
8 oz. ff cream cheese
8 oz. ff cool whip
1 sm box sf strawberry jello
1 C. sliced strawberries
Mix first 3 ingred. and put in bottom of 9x9" baking dish.
Bake for 15 min.
In med. bowl using hand mixer, combine- cool whip cream cheese and powdered sugar till smooth. Spread over the cooled pretzel crust.
In sm. bowl mix, 1 C. hot water (not boiling) w/jello and stir to dissolve. Add strawberries and let sit till cool, but not formed. Pour over top of cr. cheese mixture and set in fridge for several hours.
Cut into 9 squares. WW pts. 2.5 each square
