1 1/2 lbs. pork and beef
3T. oil
2 green bell peppers, chopped coursely
1 onion, chopped
2-(1lb.12oz)cans tomatoes
1-7oz can green chilies
1/3 C. chopped fresh parsley
1/2 t. sugar
1/4 t. gr. cloves
2 t. gr. cumin
1C. red wine
Recipe
Cut meat into bite sized cubes. Brown meat, quarter at a time in the oil-remove. Saute' onion and gr.pepper;adding more oil if needed. In another pan (5 qts.) combine tomatoes w/their liquid, chilies, parsley, spices, and wine. Bring to a boil;reduce heat. Simmer 45 minutes or till thick as you want it. Add salt to taste.
Sometimes I add a can of black beans, rinsed & drained.
