    This recipe comes from a lady 91 yrs. young.

    List of Ingredients




    1 big bunch collards

    big piece of meat (fat back or country ham)

    spoonful of sugar

    pinch of baking soda

    pinch of salt

    1/2c. grease

    Recipe



    Get a big bunch of collards. Pull the stems out and wash the leaves well.

    Cut them up and put them on to cook. Put in big piece of meat, spoonful of sugar, pinch of soda, and salt to taste.

    Cook real tender. Cook down real low. Serve warm. Real good with homemade cornbread.
