    (catgurrl)

    Recipe Introduction

    Great for a special occassion!

    List of Ingredients

    1½ pounds green beans

    1/3 cup coarsely chopped hazelnuts

    3 Tbsp unsalted butter

¼ to ½ tsp kosher salt

    Freshly ground black pepper

    Recipe

Bring a pan of lightly salted water to a boil. Trim beans and cut crosswise in half. Add to the boiling water and time 4 minutes. Test for tenderness and time for another minute, if necessary. Drain, rinsing with cold water to stop the cooking.

French the beans by cutting in half lengthwise. Wrap in paper towels and again in a plastic bag. Refrigerate up to 24 hours.

To serve, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped hazelnuts and toast until fragrant and golden. (The nuts can be toasted up to 2 days in advance.) Add butter, stirring until melted. Add beans, salt and pepper. Stir beans until heated through. Transfer to a warmed serving dish and serve.
