    List of Ingredients


    • 8 corn tortillas (6")
    • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
    • 1 lb. ground beef
    • 1 jar (14 oz.) Pace Mexican Creations Verde with Tomatillos & Jalapeños cooking sauce
    • 2 cups shredded Cheddar Jack cheese
    • 1 mediu tomato, chopped


    Instructions


    1. Stack tortillas and cut into 1/2" strips. In 12" skillet over medium-high heat, heat 1 tbsp. oil. Add half of tortilla strips and fry until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels. Repeat with remaining oil and tortilla strips.
    2. Preheat oven to 400 F. In same skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef until browned. Add verde cooking sauce.
    3. In 2-qt. shallow baking dish, layer half of fried tortilla strips. Top with meat mixture, half of cheese, tomatoes, remaining fried tortilla strips and remaining cheese. Bake 15 min. or until hot.


    Final Comments


    Serves 4.
