    Candy Crunch Pudding Pie

    Recipe Introduction

On Christmas Eve our immediate family gathers at our place for dinner and to exchange gifts and play a new board game. The menu is nice and simple - usually steaks, salad, potatoes and an easy dessert - and that's where this fabulously quick candy-bar pie comes in. It takes just minutes to make so I always keep the ingredients on hand in case I ever need a dessert for unexpected guests. I like to use a toffee candy bar because it gives it a little crackle.

    List of Ingredients

    • 2 cups cold milk
    • 2 pkg. (4-serving size each) Jell-O Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
    • 1 tub (8 oz.) Cool Whip Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
    • 2 milk chocolate English toffee candy bars (about 1.4 oz. each), chopped, divided
    • 1 Oreo Pie Crust (6 oz.)
    • 1 square Baker's Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, melted

    Instructions

    1. POUR milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. or until well blended (mixture will be thick). Gently stir in 1 1/2 cups of the whipped topping.
    2. RESERVE 3 Tbsp. of the candy pieces; stir reamining candy pieces into pudding mixture. Spoon into crust. Top with remaining whipped topping.
    3. SPRINKLE with reserved candy pieces; drizzle with melted chocolate. Serve immediately. Or refrigerate until ready to serve. Store any leftovers in refrigerator.
