Thawing:
In refrigerator it will take about 24 hours of thawing time for every 5 pounds.
If thawing turkey in cold water, keep bird in plastic wrapper it comes in & submerge in cold water.
Change cold water every 30 minutes.
Allow 30 minutes of defrosting time per pound of turkey.
Cook immediately after the turkey is thawed.
