Kathy’s Split Pea Soup

List of Ingredients
2 qts. water
2 cups split peas, washed (1 pkg.)
1 smoked ham hock, ham bone or 1 C diced ham**
1 pkg. Lipton Onion Soup Mix (or 1 small onion)
2 tsp. chicken boullion
2 bay leaves
2 tsp. garlic powder
1 C white wine
Dash red pepper
2 med. Carrots, diced
¼ tsp. pepper
*1 tsp. white vinegar
Recipe
Combine all ingredients in crockpot.
Cook on Hi for 3 hours, then, turn to low last 1- 2 hours.
Add vinegar just before serving.
* Vinegar makes the soup!
