Best roast I've ever eaten! Always requested!
List of Ingredients
- 3-4 lb roast (anything on sale)
- 5-8 cloves of garlic (to your liking)
- 1 jar sliced Peppercini, cut stems off before adding to crockpot
- fresh mushrooms (optional)
- onions (optional)
- 1 C beef broth
- envelope of dry Italian dressing (optional)
- Provolone or mozzarella cheese
- Hoagie rolls
Instructions
- Slice garlic cloves (I use minced in a jar) into thirds lengthwise.
Make slits in roast & insert garlic all over roast or sprinkle over all.
Put roast into crock pot.
Mix Italian dressing & broth with peppercini (including liquid) & pour all over roast.
Add beef broth so there is enough liquid to cook meat.
Cook on low 8-10 hrs or until falling apart.
Shred beef with 2 forks.
- Serve on hoagie rolls (toasted if desired) with cheese & choice of condiments.
- When making sandwiches:
- place meat in rolls
- cover with cheese
- zap in microwave for few seconds.
- don't forget to use Peppercini in sandwiches.
**For a spicier and hotter taste, add some sliced jalapenos, an envelope of Lipton
Onion Soup Mix and some sliced onions.
