(Katie‘s) French Onion Soup

List of Ingredients
4 onions, chopped
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp white sugar
3 (10 1/2 oz) cans beef broth
1 1/4 cups water
1/2 tsp. dried parsley
1/4 tsp. dried thyme
1 cup white wine
1 french baguette, cut into 1/2 inch slices
8 oz. shredded mozzerella cheese
1/2 cup parmesean cheese
Recipe
In large pot, over med. heat, saute onions in butter 10 mins., or until onions are tender.
Stir in flour,pepper, & sugar to form almost pasty like mixture.
Add beef broth, water, parsley & thyme.
Simmer 10 mins., then add wine & simmer 10 more mins.
Preheat oven to broil.
Toast baguettes.
Place one slice of bread into each oven safe bowl.
Fill each bowl 3/4 full with soup mixture.
Cover with mozzerella cheese & sprinkle parmesean over each bowl.
Place in oven, broil until cheese is melted & bubbly.
