    I have done this for years. They are good just to eat straight from the jars. No salt taste at all.
    I don't rinse salt off.

    List of Ingredients




    I put several tablespoons of salt in cold water & drop in sliced apples.
    When I get thru with slicing I pour off water.
    They looked wonderful!
    If recipe for pies call for salt in pie, I just leave salt out.
