    "The Hut" Chili

    Source of Recipe

    my own

    Recipe Introduction

This is a recipe that me and my husband came up with when we operated a cafe and it makes a big pot of chile.

    List of Ingredients

10 lbs. ground chuck meat, 3 medium onions chopped, 2 green bell peppers chopped, 2 stalks celery chopped, 2 cloves garlic chopped fine, 2 jalapenos peppers chopped, 2 cans stewed tomatoes 12 oz.(cajun style), 2 cans 8 oz. tomato sauce, 2 cans 6 oz. tomato paste, 6 oz. chili powder, large can of tomato juice (about 48 oz.), 1 can of beer, 4 beef bullion cubes dissolved in 1 pint of water, 2 Tablespoons cumin, 2-3 bay leaves, 1 Tablespoon garlic salt, 2 Tablespoons salt, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 Tablespoon black pepper, 1 Tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon red pepper, tabasco sauce

    Recipe

Lightly brown ground chuck in small batches. Remove from pan with a slotted spoon to drain grease. Put in a large pot. Saute the onions, bell peppers, celery and garlic and add to pot. Add jalapenos peppers. Combine all the spices in a bowl and add to pot and stir it all together. Add all the liquid ingredients and simmer for about 1 hour, stirring frequently. Add Tobasco sauce to suit your taste.
