    List of Ingredients





    Cake:
    1 pkg. Pillsbury Plus White Cake Mix
    1 1/4 cups water
    1/3 cup oil
    3 egg whites
    Icing:
    6 cups powdered sugar
    1/2 cup water
    1/3 cup light corn syrup
    3 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    Food color, if desired

    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 15x10-inch jellyroll or 13x9-inch pan. In large bowl, combine cake mix, water, oil, and egg whites at low speed until moistened ;
    beat 2 minutes at highest speed. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees : 15x10-inch pan for 20 to 30 minutes ; 13x9-inch pan for 25 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely. For easier cutting, freeze cake for half hour. Cut cake into diamond shapes or desired shapes. Refreeze while preparing icing. In large bowl, combine all icing ingredients. Blend at low speed until moistened ; beat at highest speed until smooth. If needed, add a few more drops of water for desired consistency. Blend in few drops of food color if desired. Place cake pieces on wire racks over pan or cookie sheet. Spoon icing evenly over tops and sides of cake pieces or dip pieces by spearing with fork and dipping into bowl of icing until evenly coated. Icing that drips off may be reused.
