    Gingered Pears W/ Chocolate Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 Cup heavy cream
    • 4.5 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
    • 3 tbl. light corn syrup
    • 3/4 tsp vanilla extract
    • Pinch of salt
    • 3 tbl unsalted butter
    • 6 bartlet pears, cut into 8ths
    • 3 tbl lemon juice
    • 3 packed tbl brown sugar
    • 1/2 tsp ground ginger


    Instructions


    1. In a small saucepan, combine the cream, chocolate and corn syrup. Cook over med heat, stirring until smooth, about 3 min. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt. Cover and keep warm.
    2. In med nonstick skillet melt the butter over med heat. Add the pears, lemon juice, sugar and ginger and simmer, turning occasionally, until the pears are tender, 4-5 minutes. Serve with warm chocolate sauce.
