Gingered Pears W/ Chocolate Sauce

List of Ingredients
- 3/4 Cup heavy cream
- 4.5 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 3 tbl. light corn syrup
- 3/4 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 3 tbl unsalted butter
- 6 bartlet pears, cut into 8ths
- 3 tbl lemon juice
- 3 packed tbl brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the cream, chocolate and corn syrup. Cook over med heat, stirring until smooth, about 3 min. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt. Cover and keep warm.
- In med nonstick skillet melt the butter over med heat. Add the pears, lemon juice, sugar and ginger and simmer, turning occasionally, until the pears are tender, 4-5 minutes. Serve with warm chocolate sauce.
