List of Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. lamb stew meat
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 4 Cups cold water
- 2 Cups sliced, peeled potatoes
- 1 Medium onion, sliced
- 1/2 Cup sliced carrots
- 1/2 Cup cubed turnip
- 1 Teas. salt
- 1/2 Teas. each dried marjoram, thyme and crushed rosemary
- 1/8 Teas. pepper
- 2 Tbl. all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbl. milk
- 1/2 Teas. browning sauce (optional)
- 3 Tbl. minced, fresh parsley
Instructions
In Dutch oven brown lamb in over medium-high heat. Add water, bring to a boil, reduce heat
and simmer for 1 hour. Add the vegetables and seasonings, bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Combine the flour milk and browning sauce until smooth, stir into stew. Add parsley, bring to a boil. Cook and stir for another 2 minutes.
