Ginger Snaps
List of Ingredients
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup shortening
2 cups all-purpose-flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350F
Cream sugar, egg, salt and shortening together
Add flour, baking soda and spices; Mix well.
Roll dough into balls (about 1 teaspoon of dough); then roll balls in granulated sugar.
Bake at 350F for 5 to 6 minutes
Makes 2 -3 dozen cookies
