    Sweet & Sour Turkey Meatloaf

    Source of Recipe

    What's To Eat cookbook (modified)

    Recipe Introduction

The original recipe calls for extra-lean ground turkey, but I like to use regular ground turkey because it makes a moister meatloaf.

    List of Ingredients

    • 1/4 cup apricot jam or peach preserves
    • 1/4 cup bottled chili sauce
    • 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
    • 1/2 cup dairy-, egg-, and nut-free fine dry breadcrumbs (or substitute oatmeal)
    • 1 Tbsp. dehydrated onion flakes
    • 1 pound ground turkey

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
    2. Lightly grease an 8" x 8" baking dish with dairy-free non-stick cooking spray.
    3. Mix apricot jam, chile sauce, and minced garlic in a large bowl. Stir in breadcrumbs (or oatmeal) and onion. Add ground turkey; mix until well blended.
    4. Shape turkey mixture into a loaf shap, and place in prepared baking dish.
    5. Bake, uncovered, in preheated oven for 50 minutes.

    Final Comments

    Makes 4 servings.
