Hungarian Scalloped Potatoes

- 6 Large Potatoes
- 12 Hard Boiled Eggs
- 4 oz. Butter
- 16 oz. Sour Cream
- 12 Slices Bacon
- 4 oz. Swiss Cheese
- 16 oz. Sausage or Franks, sliced
- 1 tsp. Salt
Instructions
- Boil eggs. Boil potatoes in their skins. Peel eggs and potatoes, and slice them.
- In a pyrex baking dish layer the ingredients. Start with sliced potatoes on the bottom, sprinkle grated butter on them, salt, sliced boiled eggs, salt, sour cream, sliced sausage (or franks), and repeat one more time. The last layer should be potatoes.
- Cover the pie with grated cheese, and then lay the bacon slices on the cheese in a diagonally crossed way.
- Bake the dish in the oven for 45-60 minutes at 400 degrees until the bacon is crisp on top and the cheese is melted.
Final Comments
For faster prep time use 2-3 cans sliced potatoes instead of boiling and slicing fresh potatoes.
