    Rhubarb Pie

    List of Ingredients


    • Filling:
    • 4 cups chopped rhubarb
    • 1 1/2 cups sugar
    • 6 Tablespoons flour
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 3 Tablespoons butter, cut up into small cubes
    • Crust:
    • See Easy Pie Crust for a two crust pie


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 425. Prepare Easy Pie Crust for a two crust pie. Set aside.

    2. Combine all ingredients except butter in a large bowl. Mix well. Let stand for 15 minutes. Mix well again.

    3. Place bottom pie crust in pie pan. Fill bottom pie crust with rhubarb mixture. Dot with butter.

    4. Place top crust on pie. Flute and cut ventilation holes.

    5. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and continue baking for 30 - 40 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and filling is hot and bubbly. Let stand for 15 minutes before cutting.
