Wilted Lettuce

List of Ingredients
- 1 good "mess" leaf lettuce or 2 heads bib lettuce
- 1/2 bunch green onions - chopped
- 1/2 medium red onion - sliced thin
- 3 Tablespoons cider vinegar
- 8 slices bacon
Instructions
- Throughly clean and dry the lettuce.
- Fry bacon until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet and let cool. Reserve grease. Crumble bacon and set aside.
- Combine lettuce, onions, crumbled bacon, and vinegar. Toss together.
- Heat bacon grease until very hot but not smoking. Pour immediately over salad greens. Toss and serve right away.
Final Comments
I haven't tried it yet, but I think a little crumbled blue cheese on this would be really good too.
