    From Humble Hamburger to Majestic Meals, p.42**

    List of Ingredients




    8 ounces extra-lean ground sirloin beef or turkey breast
    ½ cup chopped onion
    ½ cup chopped green bell pepper
    1 (14.5-ounce) can Hunt's Tomatoes Diced in Sauce
    2 teaspoons JO's Chili Seasoning or any chili seasoning
    1/8 teaspoon black pepper
    1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
    1 tablespoon Brown Sugar Twin or Splenda Granular
    1 cup uncooked Minute Rice

    Recipe



    In a large skillet sprayed with butter-flavored cooking spray, brown meat, onion, and green pepper. Add diced tomatoes, JO's Chili Seasoning, black pepper, parsley flakes, and Brown Sugar Twin. Mix well to combine. Bring mixture to a boil. Stir in uncooked instant rice. Cover, remove from heat and let set for 5 minutes. Mix well just before serving.

    Serves 4 (1 cup) – Each serving equals:
    170 Calories, 2 gm Fat, 11 gm Protein, 27 gm Carbohydrate, 158 mg Sodium, 27 mg Calcium, 2 gm Fiber
    Diabetic Exchanges: 1 ½ meat, 1 Starch, 1 Vegetable
    Carb Choices: 2
