    List of Ingredients




    8 ounces extra-lean ground sirloin beef or turkey breast
    ¼ cup chopped onion
    ½ cup chopped celery
    1 (14 ½-ounce) can stewed tomatoes, undrained
    1 (14-ounce) can Swanson Lower Sodium Fat Free Beef Broth
    1 teaspoon JO's Chili Seasoning or any chili seasoning
    1/3 cup (1 ounce) uncooked Minute Rice

    Recipe



    In a large saucepan sprayed with butter-flavored cooking spray, brown meat, onion, and celery. Stir in undrained stewed tomatoes, beef broth, and JO's Chili Seasoning. Bring mixture to a boil. Stir in uncooked instant rice. Cover, remove from heat and let set for 5 minutes. Stir well before serving.

    HINT: If chunks of tomatoes in stewed tomatoes are too large, finely chop them.

    Serves 4 (scant 1 cup) – Each serving equals:
    135 Calories, 3 gm Fat, 14 gm Protein, 13 gm Carbohydrate, 505 mg Sodium, 44 mg Calcium, 2 gm Fiber
    Diabetic Exchanges: 1 ½ Meat, 1 Vegetable, ½ Starch
    Carb Choices: 1
