Peach Crisp

- 1 (16 oz.) can sliced peaches
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. oats
- 1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- Whipped topping or ice cream
- Ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Butter a 9-inch pie pan. Drain peaches, reserving syrup. Place peaches in pie pan.
- In a small bowl, combine 1/4 c. of the reserved peach syrup with almond extract; pour over peaches and set aside. Discard any remaining syrup.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter or margarine. Remove from heat. Stir in oats, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon until mixed and crumbly. Sprinkle over peaches.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until syrup is thickened and top is slightly browned.
- Spoon peach crisp into dessert dishes and serve with whipped topping or ice cream. Sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired.
