List of Ingredients
- 3 pkg. active dry yeast
- 2 1/4 c. warm water
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 c. flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 5 to 6 c. flour
Instructions
- In large bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Add sugar and oil; mix well. Stir in one cup flour; let stand until mixture bubbles, about 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl, beat eggs and tablespoon of water. Add with salt to batter; mix until smooth.
- Add 4 cups flour and beat until smooth. Add enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
- Turn out onto floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled, about 20 minutes.
- Punch down dough and divide in half. Shape into loaves of your choice and place in pans. Let stand until double, about 15-20 minutes.
- Bake at 350^ for 20-25 minutes.
