I got this recipe off of another site a few years ago. The original was posted by Shelley Sparks.
List of Ingredients
1 box spice cake mix
2 cans sliced apples, undrained (not pie filling)
1 cube margarine or butter, melted
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Instructions
Dump apples in 9 x 13" cake pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle with dry cake mix. Pour melted margarine all over dry mix. Top with chopped pecans. Bake at 375^ for about 40 minutes or until bubbly. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
Final Comments
The flavor of the cake mix and the fruit used can be varied. I have used yellow cake mix with peaches and also with pineapple with great results.
