Lemon Layered Dessert
List of Ingredients
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. margarine, melted
- 1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
- 1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. Cool Whip, thawed
- 2 - 3 oz. pkgs. instant lemon pudding
- 3 c. milk
- Additional Cool Whip
- Additional finely chopped walnuts
Instructions
- 1st LAYER:Blend flour, melted margarine and chopped nuts. Press into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350^ for 15 minutes. Cool thoroughly.
- 2nd LAYER:Mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar and 1 c. Cool Whip. Spread over cooled first layer.
- 3rd LAYER:Combine pudding and milk; mix well. Spread over cream cheese layer.
- 4th LAYER:Spread thawed Cool Whip over all; sprinkle with additional chopped nuts. Chill thoroughly before serving.
Final Comments
FOR VARIATIONS other flavors of pudding may be used.
