    1 lb. meat of choice (beef, pork, chicken) cut in thin slices
    3 c. celery, sliced thin
    1 small onion, sliced
    1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced (or quartered)
    1 tsp. minced garlic
    1 can bamboo shoots, drained
    1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    1 can bean sprouts, drained
    1/4 c. cold water
    1 - 10 oz. can beef (or chicken) broth
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch

    Recipe



    Heat a small amount of cooking oil in large frying pan or wok; cook meat until well done. Remove from pan.

    Add celery, onions, and mushrooms and cook until crisp tender. Add garlic and cook for another minute until tender, being careful not to burn garlic.

    Mix cornstarch with water; add mixture, broth and soy sauce to vegetables. Add drained bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and bean sprouts. Add meat back in and cook until thickened. Serve over rice or chow mein noodles.
