    My husband loves these! To use the frozen mochi, bake in oven until puffed and crispy. Once cooked, he dips into a sauce made of granulated sugar and soy sauce.

    List of Ingredients




    1 c Mochiko (sweet rice flour or Mochi flour)
    ¼ c sugar
    Dash salt
    1 c cold water
    Cornstarch

    Recipe



    Mix flour, sugar and salt in a microwavable bowl. Pour in cold water and beat well until there are no lumps.

    Cook in microwave for 4 minutes; stir well

    Pour out onto sheet of parchment paper that has been dusted liberally with cornstarch. Mixture will be VERY HOT; allow to cool slightly before kneading in a little of the cornstarch.

    When cooled enough to handle, break into equal sized balls and then flatten into a 2-2½ disk.

    Place mochi on plate or cookie sheet and put in freezer. Allow to freeze solid and then transfer to ziplock bag.
