    Recipe Introduction


    This has become one of my very favorite recipes... after only making it once!


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/3 c. finely chopped onion
    • 4 garlic cloves, minced
    • 4 sprigs fresh parsley, chopped
    • 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter*
    • 2 lbs. fresh medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
    • 1/4 c. dry white wine
    • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    • Salt to taste
    • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
    • Hot cooked rice or angel hair pasta


    Instructions


    1. Saute the onion, garlic, and parsley in the butter until the onion is tender. Reduce the heat to low and add the shrimp.
    2. Cook for a couple of minutes, stirring frequently, until the shrimp turn pink.
    3. Add the wine, lemon juice, salt, and peper to the mixture.
    4. Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve immediately over rice or angel hair pasta.


    Final Comments


    *I used slightly more butter because I wanted to make sure there was enough sauce for the pasta.
