    List of Ingredients


    • 1 c. long-grain rice, uncooked
    • 1 - 10 1/2 oz. can beef consomme
    • Soup can water
    • 1/4 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine
    • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
    • Salt and Pepper, to taste


    Instructions


    1. In saucepan, melt butter or margarine; saute onion until tender. Add rice, broth and water. Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer over medium heat for 15-20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
