Onions and Rice

List of Ingredients
- 1 c. long-grain rice, uncooked
- 1 - 10 1/2 oz. can beef consomme
- Soup can water
- 1/4 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In saucepan, melt butter or margarine; saute onion until tender. Add rice, broth and water. Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer over medium heat for 15-20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
