Aloha Loaf
Chill this soft festive loaf thouroughly to make it easy to slice
2 cups finely grated Cheddar cheese[8 oz.]
¼ cup sour cream
¼ cup chopped green pepper
Dash of hot pepper sauce
2 T. minced parsely
2 cups ground ham
1 [8-¼ oz.] can crushed pineapple well drained
1 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese, room temperature
1 T. finely chopped crystallized ginger
Crackers or Melba Toast
Line a 9"x5" loaf pan with waxed paper; set aside. In a small bowl, combine Chedder cheese, sour cream, green pepper and hot pepper sauce. Spread on bottom of lined pan. Sprinkle minced parsely over top; lightly press into Chedder cheese mixture. Refrigerate at least 2 hours. In a medium bowl, combine ham, pineapple, cream cheese and ginger. Spread over chilled Cheddar cheese mixture. Refrigerate at least 2 hours. At serving time, invert loaf onto a serving dish; remove loaf pan and waxed paper. Cut into 16 to 18 slices; cut each slice in half. Serve cold with crackers or Melba toast. 32 to 36 appetizer servings.
[I think you can find crystallized ginger in the baking section of your favorite grocery store or else just use a scant sprinkle of powdered ginger]
