Party Puffs

Judy's Recipe
1 cup water
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup rye flour
1 T. dried parsley
1/2 t. garlic powder
1/8 t. salt
4 eggs
Caraway seeds
CORNED BEEF FILING:
2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese
6 ounces cooked corned beef, finely chopped
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
2 T. finely chopped onion
2 t. minced chives
1 t. spicy brown mustard
1/8 t. garlic powder
2 T. pimentos, finely diced (optional)
1. In a saucepan over medium heat, bring water and butter to a boil. Add flours, parsley, garlic powder and salt all at oncel stir until a smooth ball forms. Remove from heat; let stand for 5 minutes. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat until smooth.
2. Drop the dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets. Sprinkle with caraway seeds. Bake at 400º for 18-20 minutes or until golden. Immediately remove to wire racks and cut a slit in each puff to allow steam to escape; cool.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine the first eight filling ingredients; mix well. Stir in pimentos, if desired. Split puffs in half (so there is a top half and bottom half). Add filling on bottom half of puffs and cover with tops. Refrigerate until serving.
Yield: 4-1/2 dozen.
