List of Ingredients
- 2 (6oz.) beef tenderloin steaks, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 4 medium shallots, peeled and quartered
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 (8oz.) package of sliced mushrooms
- 3/4 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup dry red wine
Instructions
- Combine beef, flour, salt and pepper in a large zip-top plastic bag; seal and shake to coat.
- Melt butter in large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add beef mixture and shallots; stir fry for approximately 5 minutes.
- Add thyme, garlic, and mushrooms; stir fry for approximately 3 minutes.
- Add broth and wine; cook for 5 minutes or until shallots are tender and sauce thickens, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and serve.
Final Comments
This recipe is great served over rice!
