1/2 cup well-cooked white hominy (you can use canned)
1/2 cup lowfat buttermilk
Dash chili powder
Dash ginger
Several fresh mint leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup shaved ice
Recipe
Purée all ingredients, including shaved ice, together in a blender for about 1 minute, creating a fine, frothy liquid. Pour over ice in a tall glass and serve immediately.
