    Pork Chops Braised in Beer

    List of Ingredients

    2 onions
    1 Tbsp. oil
    4 thick pork chops about 1-3/4 lbs.
    1/2 c. beer
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3/4 tsp. dried marjoram

    Recipe

    Slice onions. Heat oil in a large frying pan over med. high heat. Brown pork chops, about 5 min. per side. Remove pork chops. Reduce heat to low and add onions to pan drippings.Cover and cook until onions soften, about 10 min. Add beer,salt, pepper, marjoram and pork chops. Cover and cook until pork is tender, about 1 hour. Remove pork chops and keep warm. Raise heat to high. Bring pan juices to a boil and cook until thick. Spoon onion and beer sauce over pork and serve.
