Pineapple Upside Down Cake With Sauce

1/2 cup butter,1/2 cup brown sugar,1 can pineapple slices drained keep syrup,1/4 pecan halves,1 1/3 cup flour,1 cup sugar,2 teas.baking powder,1/2 teas.salt,2/3 cup milk,1 teas.vanilla,1/3 cup soft butter,1 egg,1/3 cup brown sugar,1 Tbls.corn starch,1 teas.lemon juice,2 cups whipped cream opt.Recipe
Oven 350* Melt 1/3 cup butter in 9x9 pan.Sprinkle 1/2 cup br.sugar on,put on pine.slices.Put a nut in center of each.Sift next 4 ingre.in bowl.Add milk,vanilla,1/3 cup soft butter.Mix.Add egg,Mix.Pour over pine.,bake 40-50 mins.Next mix br.sugar,corn starch.Add water to left over pineapple juice to make 1 cup,stir into sugar&starch.Bring to boil to thicken.Remove from heat,add 2 Tbls.butter,lemon juice.Serve over cake.
