Chicken Enchilada Casserole

1 med. onion chopped,3 Tbles.butter,1 can cream of chicken soup,1 can cream of mushroom soup,1 lb.grated longhorn cheese,1 cup chicken broth,1 sm.can green chopped chilies,1-2 to3 lb.cooked chopped chicken,1 pkg.corn tortillas(prepare them by frying in hot oil till crisp,or use bagged corn chips).

Brown onion in butter.Combine soups,broth and chilies in same pan.Add chicken,heat well.In a baking dish,place a layer of chicken sauce,layer of cheese,layer of chips,repeat until dish is full.Bake 350* 30-40 mins. This has been another lifelong favorite.
