    2 1/4c.flour,1t.baking soda,1t.salt,1c.shortening,3/4c.sugar,3/4c.brown sugar,1t.vanilla,2 eggs,2-12oz.choc.chips,1c.chopped nuts,1-8oz.red and green candied cherries chopped.

    Oven,375*.Mix flour,soda,salt.Beat together butter,sugars,vanilla,add eggs.Stir in chips,nuts,fruit.Bake ungreased sheet 10-12 mins.Garnish with whole cherries.
