    Maraschino Cherries(one day method)

    List of Ingredients




    6 cups Royal Ann cherries,12 cups sugar,4 cups water,1 oz.red food coloring,1 oz.almond extract.

    Recipe



    Wash and pit cherries.Add sugar,water,bring to boil.Cook 1 min.Add red color,almond extract,boil 10 mins.Remove from heat.Fill hot sterilized jars,seal.Makes about 8 pints,16 1/2 pints(great for gifts).
