2 fresh ripe Winter pears,1c.orange juice,1/2c.water,2-3Tbls.sugar,1/2teas.salt,1/2c.diced green pepper,1/4c.chopped onion,1/4c.vinegar,1 Tbls.soy sauce,4teas.cornstarch.

Core and cut pears into wedges.In pan,mix o.j.,water,sugar,salt.Add pears,gr.pepper,onion.Simmer 5-7mins.or pears are tender.Blend vinegar,soy s.,cornstarch.Slowly add to sauce and cook,stirring till thick and clear.
